Cary Endoscopy CenterCary Endoscopy Center is the first office- based accredited ambulatory endoscopy center in Cary, North Carolina solely dedicated to gastrointestinal endoscopy (scope tests). Patient satisfaction is our main goal. Our facility was designed with quality, safety, patient privacy and convenience in mind. The procedures provided at Cary Endoscopy Center flow in a cost -effective manner and allow the patient to recover in the comfort of their own home. We currently staff two physicians.

The Center offers a spacious reception area for patients and their families, and our two state-of-the-art Endoscopy Rooms allow your doctor to perform procedures in the most comfortable and efficient manner. Our four Recovery Rooms and separate discharge area was designed to maximize patient privacy and comfort.

Cary Endoscopy Center is fully certified and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). All criteria for stringent conscious sedation in an Endoscopy Center have been met.

CECAt Cary Endoscopy Center we strive to provide the patient with the finest outpatient endoscopy care available. As a part of this commitment of care, the management of Cary Endoscopy Center has implemented a Continuous Quality Improvement Process since opening July 1, 2004. Each Quality Committee reviews many items including:

  • Patient Satisfaction Review where Survey results, patient care, and any complaints are addressed. Prior patient suggestions have been the addition of newer magazines and beverages in our reception area, and alternative preparations for colonoscopy. We appreciate your input.

  • Medical Records Review to be sure that our chart documentation is accurate and current

  • Tissue Review to be sure all biopsies are reported promptly and accurately. Reviews are done quarterly during Endoscopy Board Meetings.

  • Peer Review where our doctors review each others charts to be sure the best possible medical care is being given by all

  • Credentials Review to verify that our doctors, nurses and medical personnel have up to date training and licenses

  • Pharmacy Review to verify proper storage and administration of medications. An Independent Licensed Pharmacist is also a part of our team.

  • Infection Control Review to verify proper equipment sterilization for patient and employee safety in accordance with OSHA guidelines

Our center also offers Capsule endoscopy. A novel method to evaluate small bowel lesions, tumors and unexplained anemia of small bowel origin. The images below show how this procedure allows the physician to view areas of concern via a small capsule camera that is swallowed by the patient that saves images on a recorder that the patient wears. These images can then be projected on a computer screen for the physician to view.
